Terms & Conditions
All orders are subject to these terms and conditions unless we both agree in writing to change them. Once you place an order and accept your quote, it's a done deal, and there will be a contract between us. The contract ends when you receive your tasty treats.
Ingredients & Allergens
We follow strict health and hygiene rules to minimize cross-contamination with allergens. However, we use the following ingredients in our kitchen: nuts, peanuts, eggs, milk, wheat, rye, sesame seeds, and celery. We usually ask you about your allergy requirements but ultimately it's up to you to let us know about any allergies before confirming your booking. We provide allergen lables according to health and safety guidelines, make sure your guests are aware of these allergens as we can't be held liable for any allergic reactions.
Quotations
These terms and conditions are considered accepted once you accept the quote. Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue. We send quotes electronically, and you can accept them online. If that's not possible, the quote is accepted once you pay the 50% deposit. Prices may change at our discretion, but not after a quote is accepted unless changes have been made to the order, in which case a new quote will be issued.
Orders
We prefer at least 14 days' notice for all orders, as we're usually booked in advance. We'll do our best to accommodate short-notice cakes if availability permits. Sorry if we can't fit you in on your requested date!
Design & Presentation
If you provide a picture of a cake made by another cake maker, we'll recreate it as our interpretation, not an exact replica. We know your celebration is important, and we'll strive to bring your cake vision to life.
Deposits
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your date and is due upon acceptance of the quote.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If we need to cancel due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstance, we'll inform you immediately. The full amount you've paid will be refunded within 3 days of notification, depending on your bank, up to 7 days.
Final Balance Payments
The balance is due 48 hours before the collection date. Late payments could delay your order, and we can't be held liable for delayed delivery due to late payments. If paying by cash, you must arrange this with us latest 14 days' in advance of pick up. Please bring the exact amount, as we don't keep change on the premises. If paying by internet transfer, make sure it reaches our account 48 hours before the pickup date. Unfortunately, we can't accept credit or debit cards.
Collection
Check your cake before you leave—by taking it with you, you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the cake and agree that the cake is in good condition. Once it's in your hands, it's your responsibility to get it home safely and store it as per our instructions.
Publication Rights
We reserve the right to use any image of a cake made by us for our website and social media which we have taken. We’d love you to tag us in your social media posts @sprinklesandicingswirls on Instagram and Facebook!
Damage
If someone else is picking up or receiving the cake on your behalf, they'll need to sign a release form confirming it's in good condition at the time of collection/delivery.
Postponement
If you need to postpone your event, please contact us immediately. The new date will be subject to availability.
Cancellations / Refunds
If you need to cancel and have paid your full balance, here's our policy:
• Cancel up to 48 hours before your event for a refund, minus the non-refundable 50% deposit and the cost of any supplies already purchased for your cake. You may be able to keep the personalised supplies.
• Less than 48 hours? No refunds. This is because we have already started work on your order and can no longer offer you a refund.
Refunds under the above terms will be paid within 14 days of cancellation.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about your cake, let us know immediately. We'll work to resolve it as soon as possible. If we can't come to a resolution, any claims will be limited to the total cost of the cake.
Voucher & Discount Terms
Vouchers are valid for one order only. Refer-a-friend vouchers are also valid for one order only. The expiry date of the discount is specified on the voucher. Vouchers have a maximum discount amount, and discounts can't exceed this amount, even if the percentage of the total order is higher. This is specified on the voucher. Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash.
